Wednesday, June 20, 2007, 05:10 PM GMT [General]

A popular question that people have is:
How do I find a competent qualified hypnotist for hypnotism certification training in Ireland?

    Part 3

The best way is to get a referral from someone you know who has tried hypnosis and were satisfied with the service provided and the qualifications of the hypnotist. The dilemma many people encounter is on one hand they would like to try hypnosis but on the other hand experience apprehensive because they don't know what to expect. This is reflected in their reluctance in booking an appointment. To help people with their decision making I've asked a number of clients to assist by giving video feedback on what their experience of hypnosis was like for them. In the series of "Ask-a-Client" interviews I hope that the information and insight provided will help to make the client's decision making a more informed one.

Irish Hypnotist helps save sight and change lives!

Wednesday, June 20, 2007, 12:42 AM GMT [General]

On World Hypnotism Day, Thursday January 4th 2007, Irish hypnotist Martin Kiely from http://www.martinkielyhypnosis.com raised about $800.00 for Sightsavers International.

In celebrating World Hypnotism Day hypnotists around the world held FREE and low cost hypnosis events to educate and inform the public about the benefits of hypnosis, hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis. In Ireland hypnotherapist Martin Kiely held a number of events including a group Stop Smoking programme. Participants who registered for this specific WHD event benefited in two ways: 1) they only paid 50% of the normal cost for a session, and 2) they Stopped Smoking. All the fees received for the WHD Stop Smoking programme was donated to the nominated charity Sightsavers International. Martin Kiely has helped change the lives of those who participated in the Stop Smoking programme by becoming non-smokers and by donating the funds to Sightsavers International will help to save sight and change lives in the developing world. What a wonderful way to start the New Year!

Sightsavers is the country's leading charity combating blindness in the developing world. Sightsavers' vision is of a world where no-one is needlessly blind. There are 37 million blind people in the world today and 161 million more people are severely visually impaired. These are huge numbers - what they mean in individual terms is that one person is becoming blind every 5 seconds, and a child is becoming blind every minute. Yet we need not be reading about these statistics, as a staggering 75% of global blindness can be prevented or cured. Common eye diseases which have simple and cheap cures are the main causes of this blindness. A simple surgery lasting just 20 minutes can restore sight to a man, woman or child blinded by cataract. Young people risk losing their sight from a painful and distressing infection called trachoma. People of all ages living in areas vulnerable to river blindness risk losing their sight each day. Sightsavers has been working for over 50 years to deliver cost effective eye services and has restored sight to more than 5.6 million people and treated over 100 million for potentially blinding conditions.
